About Me
Mahbuba Airin
Rural Change Maker
My name is Mahbuba Airin. Currently, I am nestled within the welcoming arms of Guelph, Ontario, where I am pursuing my graduate studies at the University of Guelph. My roots trace back to the rich cultural heritage of Bangladesh. Stepping out of my comfort zone and living in a new country has taught me the importance of embracing and nurturing perseverance, which is critical for achieving any endeavor that we start. During this journey, I have learned to value the smallest act of kindness. How profoundly it can leave an impact on an individual’s perspective even if it's just a smile or a kind word. I am passionate about participating in community work and establishing connections with people. I consider myself as a lifelong learner. I have joined the Rural Changemakers Program for the year 2023-2024 with the hope of learning, unlearning, relearning, and gaining new insights, from the perspectives offered by the fellow changemakers.
