About Me
Sebastian Fortin
Rural Change Maker
Hello I’m Sebastian, I use he/him pronouns and I am part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. I currently reside in Timmins, Ontario that is located on the traditional Lands of Mattagami First Nation, Flying Post First Nation, and Matachewan First Nation. I tend to be a person in the background as I am not a fan of the spotlight, but I also love to step out of my comfort zone to gain new experiences. I use art to achieve this, as I use it to speak about topics and to do new things. Art is something I am very passionate about as it allows me to be creative, and work without rules. I love to learn, to help others, and just being part of a community. As a queer, Indigenous, and transgender youth I aim to create a safer, supportive, and welcoming space to allow everyone's voice and concerns to be heard. I am a strong believer in change, unity, love, acceptance, and activism. I am always prepared to learn, change, and to teach in order to help the community, younger generations, and myself.
Project
I plan to work with the Indigenous and 2SLGBTQIA+ community to keep the environment clean and safe for Timmins residents and wildlife.
