Hi! I'm Shannon, and I am the Tourism Coordinator for the City of Quinte West. In addition to my role at the City, I have a strong background in the heritage field, holding a Bachelor’s degree in North American Archaeology, a post-graduate certificate in GIS, and a Master’s degree in Museum Education. I have previously worked in museums and adult education and have a passion for lifelong learning and community engagement. I currently serve on the Board of Directors for Community Partners for Success and have volunteered at local museums, including the National Air Force Museum of Canada and Glanmore National Historic Site. I am passionate about creating welcoming, inclusive, and accessible spaces where people feel comfortable learning, connecting, and participating in their communities. Through the Rural Ontario Changemakers program, I hope to learn from other rural community leaders, strengthen my leadership skills, and explore new ways to make meaningful contributions to my community.
