Meet Rural Change Maker Danielle Stewart, from the Northern Ontario region of White River. Danielle is a Gold Mine Site Administrator.

With a passion for community sustainability, community governance and affordable housing, Danielle is interested in working with her community to develop a community garden.

“My first community project will be a community garden that teaches our youth the importance of self sustenance and gets our elderly engaged in a rewarding outdoor activity. Our local grocery store struggles to provide us with fresh healthy vegetables and fruit. Unfortunately our community is considered “the end of the line” so we are provided whatever is left over on delivery trucks. The garden is a symbol of hope to teach others how to grow their own food year round, as well as provide locals with that fresh from the ground alternative.”
