Empowering Youth in Healthcare

Looking Behind the Curtain at Healthcare Careers is an initiative dedicated to inspiring young individuals to explore and pursue careers in the healthcare industry. Our mission is to provide accessible educational resources and support to students, educators, and community partners. By highlighting the various pathways and opportunities in healthcare, we aim to increase interest and participation among youth, ultimately contributing to a stronger, more resilient healthcare workforce. This project is crucial in addressing the healthcare challenges faced by rural communities, ensuring that local talent is nurtured and retained.

Through collaboration with schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations, we strive to create a comprehensive support system for students aged 12-18. Our goal is to make healthcare careers more visible and attainable, encouraging youth to consider these vital roles within their own communities. By fostering a deeper understanding of the healthcare field, we hope to inspire the next generation to contribute to the well-being of society.

Natalee is passionate about guiding the next generation of healthcare professionals. She is a graduate of the Rural Ontario Institute's Rural Change Maker program and is beginning her medical studies to become a doctor in rural Ontario.
