Rising Up Rural with Change Maker Rachel Richer

Join us as we get to know the next generation of leaders throughout rural Ontario. In this episode we are introduced to Rural Change Maker Rachel Richer.

Rachel Richer

Rachel moved to Renfrew County’s most northern community and was quick to become a servant of her surroundings. As Deputy Mayor, her goals are to care for the elderly and develop thoughtful infrastructure for the youth. Rachel is equally dedicated to preserving her area’s natural beauty, maintaining it as a 'natural playground' for all to enjoy and appreciate. She volunteers her time to her local snowmobile club and library board. Through the Change Makers Program, Rachel continues her commitment to lifelong learning. She wants to foster intergenerational programs within her community and strengthen partnerships with local organizations. As Rachel continues to learn with purpose, she is an insightful character to watch for in the years ahead.
